It has been close to one month now since my third grandson was born. And it has been a long time since I have any addition to the family. Well here he is, photo taken less than 1 week ago.
And to welcome him, I have made a blog called atuklias. Atuk is actually a short form of grandfather (in Malay) and of course lias is me. And there I have gathered all my grandchildren, not many really, just 3 of them.

IKEA
It has been a long time since I have visited IKEA of Kuala Lumpur. What is IKEA famous for? Furniture and meat ball.
So today my wife and I decided to spent the morning there. My wife ate their meat balls and I only had a chicken leg with all their allowed vege and potatoes. I enjoyed my chicken leg and the coffee after though I do not really drink coffee normally. And we went into their sales areas and we bought some minor furniture parts, we could hardly bought much as their prices are a bit up market. Cannot blame them, their designers are mostly from the first world country. One thing I must say about IKEA, their toilets are very clean and very prude; they are enclosed on all sides from top to bottom. In some other Department Stores in Kuala Lumpur that I have visited, their toilets are observably less clean with the enclosure only for the middle but leaving the top and bottom open, people cannot see you but can see your feet and hear you. While sitting on the loo at IKEA I could not help but feel spied upon by this.
This is the first time that I went to walk into the connecting building call the Curve. Beautiful place, with many supermarkets and eating places. I regretted that I had already eaten at the IKEA building before visiting the Curve. I could have some very nice (and probably cheaper)local dishes at the Curve.

Mothers Day
I am writing this on the night of 11 May 2008. Tomorrow is Mothers Day. I still remember my mother, though she is long gone. She passed away about 33 years ago. I never really knew my mother, though I knew that she loved me, and my brother. But I had never really returned that love, I did not know how. She was divorced from my father and remarried, and she suffered in that second marriage. In the end she died alone, and I did not even had the time to attend her burial. My other relatives buried (with thank from me and my brother) her even before I arrived back to the location of her death. If only I had 'really' knew my mother, if only I could say "I love you" to my mother. If only ......... its too late now.
